The pilot team is fronted by Angus Tapper, owner and chief pilot of Coronet Peak Tandems.
He has been 4 times New Zealand Champion, Runner-up New Zealand Hang Gliding Champs 2010 and placed 8th in the World 2001.
With an impressive 231km, Angus is the current record holder for the longest paragliding distance flown by a New Zealander.
He also has over 14 years and some 3,000 hours experience as a commercial aircraft pilot.

Hi guys,
Just a quick email to thank you (and your colleagues) for taking us "city girls" up in a paraglider on Friday - we absolutely loved it! I might have whimpered like a guy on death-row (well, just when we did some tricks!), but it's really given me the appetite to find out more about paragliding and perhaps, find a club in Auckland to join. So I thank you for that!

I just wanted to send you and your crew (especially Augusto) an email to say thank you for taking me out on the tandem paraglide on Sunday. I had a brilliant time and absolutely loved the flight. The views were breathtaking and the flight was so much fun. I felt safe and relaxed the whole time. Augusto was a brilliant pilot. Your crew are all lovely and a great team.

Thanks to the pilots at tandemhanggliding for our hanggliding experience during January 2010!
Never did the sport before, but we both felt we had a momentous time .... and what a magical view .... great feeling to be flying up with the birds .... feeling the power of the wind .... great choice to have the photo and video footage .... Proof to friends and family back home!
Would certainly recommend this for anyone looking for something more adventurous.
Maybe next time, the weather conditions will favour the paragliding option for me ....
